One of the most common questions we receive is about increasing flamethrower range. While range sounds like the most important performance metric, real-world use shows that control, consistency, and reliability usually matter more for most owners.
Maximum range is only one part of flamethrower performance. How the system behaves during real use; ignition consistency, fuel delivery, and handling tends to matter far more in practice.
In the past, we experimented with range-focused modifications. Through testing and customer feedback, we found that most owners benefited more from reliability and repeatable performance than from pushing maximum distance.
Because of this, we no longer offer dedicated range-increase modification services.
Instead, we refined our system design, including improvements to the fuel line configuration, to help optimize performance and efficiency while maintaining the control and consistency our customers expect. These refinements allow us to achieve strong real-world performance similar to our previous range extension modification without the drawbacks that often come with extreme range tuning.
Several factors influence how far a flame projects:
Fuel type and pressure
Nozzle design
Fuel line efficiency
Environmental conditions such as wind and temperature
Because these variables interact, chasing maximum distance alone often leads to tradeoffs in usability.
Pushing for extreme range can introduce compromises:
Reduced control over the flame
Higher fuel consumption
Increased wear on components
Less consistent performance in everyday conditions
For most users, a balanced system provides a better ownership experience than one tuned purely for distance.
